What makes a panel sauna-safe?
Most red light panels are designed for room-temperature spaces. Sauna heat and humidity can exceed those products’ operating limits. Ember and Blaze are built and rated for use inside the sauna.
-
1
Built for sauna conditions
Aluminum housings, high-temperature components, an IP65 seal, and a 194°F / 90°C operating rating make both panels suitable for traditional and infrared saunas.
-
2
Four wavelengths, independently controlled
A 4-in-1 lens combines 630nm and 660nm red light with 810nm and 850nm near-infrared. Run red, near-infrared, or all four together.
-
3
Controls that work with your routine
Set brightness from 0–100%, choose continuous output or 10/40Hz pulse, and use the 1–20 minute timer. Follow the product manual for setup and use.
Common questions
Everything you need to know about running red light therapy inside your sauna.
Why do I need a sauna-rated panel — won't a regular red light panel work?
Regular panels are generally designed for room-temperature, dry spaces. Sauna heat and humidity may exceed their operating specifications and can void the manufacturer’s warranty. Ember and Blaze are purpose-built with aluminum housings, high-temperature components, an IP65 seal, and a 194°F / 90°C operating rating.
How do I choose between Ember and Blaze?
Ember ($800) uses 384 LEDs and 180W. At 20.1 inches tall, it is the better fit for personal saunas and compact installations.
Blaze ($1,400) uses 768 LEDs and 340W. At 36.6 inches tall, it is designed for 2–4 person saunas and more head-to-toe coverage.
Both panels are 12 inches wide and use the same four wavelengths, IP65-sealed aluminum housing, and 194°F / 90°C operating rating. Measured irradiance at six inches is similar (111 vs. 109 mW/cm²); Blaze’s advantage is its taller treatment area.
How do I install it in my sauna?
Every Ember and Blaze panel includes hanging-mount hardware and installation instructions for mounting inside the sauna. A separate floor stand with locking wheels, compatible with both Ember and Blaze, will be available soon. Follow the product manual and local electrical and sauna guidance. Email contact@hoogahealth.com if you need help choosing a mount.
What wavelengths do these panels use?
Both Ember and Blaze use a 4-in-1 lens that combines 630nm and 660nm red light with 810nm and 850nm near-infrared light. You can run red, near-infrared, or all four wavelengths together.
How long should a session be?
Use the built-in 1–20 minute timer. Start with the product manual’s guidance and adjust time, distance, and brightness conservatively. Do not exceed normal sauna-use limits, and stop if you feel uncomfortable.
What's the warranty and return policy?
Both panels include a 3-year warranty. Returns are accepted within 60 days of delivery when the product is in the same condition and original packaging. Return shipping is deducted from the refund. Review the full refund policy before purchasing.
